Journalist Visa – F7A
Purpose: Short stay visa for media or journalism-related visits.
Eligibility: Journalists, reporters, and media practitioners on assignment.
Requirements
- Appropriate clearances from the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation in Nigeria.
- Clearance from National Intelligence Agency in Nigeria (NIA).
- Valid Passport (not less than 6 months validity).
- Evidence of return ticket.
- Evidence of Hotel Reservations or host address in Nigeria.
- Evidence of sufficient funds (180 days Bank Statement).
Steps to Obtain
- Obtain Media Clearances.
- Seek approval from appropriate agencies.
- Apply online (embassy).
- Upload visa requirements and pay visa fees.
- Obtain Visa.
Validity: 90 days from issuance.
Extendable: Yes (Where applicable)
Stay duration: 90 days Single entry.
Restrictions: No employment. Permitted for official journalism/media coverage only.
Family/Group Applications: Group applications for up to 10 persons.
