Accredited Diplomat Visa – R1A
Purpose: For fully accredited diplomats posted to Nigeria.
Eligibility: Foreign diplomats with acceptance from Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Requirements
- Valid Diplomatic Passport.
- Letter from Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirming accreditation.
Steps to Obtain
- Get official Posting.
- The diplomat’s home country coordinates with the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Apply online (embassy).
- Submit visa requirements and pay visa fees.
- Receive Visa.
Validity: 90 days from issuance.
Extendable: Not Applicable.
Stay duration: 2-years renewable.
Restrictions: Limited to diplomatic duties only.
Family/Group Applications: Family/Dependants to apply for R1B, R1C R1D R1E visas for Spouse/Dependants subcategories respectively.
