NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE STRENGTHENS PARTNERSHIP WITH DENMARK ON MARITIME SECURITY AND MIGRATION MANAGEMENT
The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, KN Nandap, pcc, fsmn, represented by the Deputy Comptroller General Border Management, DCG AR Sabo, received a delegation from the Royal Danish Embassy, led by the Deputy Head of Mission, Ms. Julie Rosenkilde Hannibal, at the Service Headquarters, Abuja. The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to deepen collaboration between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Denmark on Border security and Migration Management.
- Discussions centred on the scope of future partnership in addressing maritime security challenges within the Gulf of Guinea, strengthening Border Governance, combating irregular migration, and promoting safe, orderly and regular migration. Both parties also explored opportunities for enhanced technical cooperation, capacity building and information sharing in areas of mutual interest.
- Speaking on behalf of the CGI during the meeting, the Deputy Comptroller General reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to fostering stronger collaboration with the Kingdom of Denmark in support of regional security, effective Border Governance and Migration Management. He appreciated the Danish delegation for the visit and expressed optimism that the partnership would further contribute to the attainment of shared security and development objectives.
