NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL CIVIL SERVICE CONFERENCE 2026

The Nigeria Immigration Service participated in the 2026 International Civil Service Conference hosted by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation at Eagle Square, Abuja.

  1. The Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, led the delegation of Heads of Agencies under the Ministry of Interior. During his presentation, he highlighted the Ministry’s operational activities, achievements, and current reform measures targeted at reinforcing internal security and elevating Service Delivery standards.
  2. The Conference convened key figures from Government and Private Sector including Heads of Ministries, Departments, Agencies nationwide, to deliberate on strengthening public service delivery and advancing institutional reforms. It also served as a platform for the Service to engage with delegates, stakeholders, and participants from across the country, promoting stronger public relations and inter-institutional cooperation.
  3. In addition, the Service maintained an exhibition booth during the conference to showcase current reforms and their outcomes, while also serving as a dedicated point of contact for inquiries and stakeholder engagement.
  4. The Conference wrapped up with various panels and round table sessions where the Service, Key officers from the Ministry of Interior, International Organization for Migration and Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation where they examined the theme “Integrated Migration Management in Nigeria: Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategic Reforms,”. It also focused on practical steps to improve migration governance, boost inter-agency cooperation, and adopt technology-driven solutions.
  5. Nigeria Immigration Service participation in the conference underscores its commitment to effective Migration Management, strengthened Border Governance and continuous institutional transformation in line with the Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and global best practices.
