Eligibility: Must have a confirmed work contract with a Nigerian employer holding a valid quota.

• Formal application from the Employer/ Institution accepting Immigration Responsibility (IR)
• Expatriate Quota Approval.

Steps to Obtain

1. Company Applies for Expatriate Quota to Ministry of Interior.
2. Get Quota Approval (and acceptance letter to sponsor the applicant).
3. Submit STR (Subject-to-Regularization) Visa Application at Nigerian Embassy, including all documents.

Purpose: Allows experts invited by corporate bodies for the purpose of providing specialized skilled services.
Eligibility: Experts performing short-term projects (such as after-sale installations, Commissioning/Upgrading/Maintenance/Repairs of equipment and machinery, Training and capacity building for Nigerian staff, Audit of machinery/ Equipment and financial records etc.) after the approval of the Comptroller General of Immigration.

Requirements

• Visa Authority Letter from Immigration (pre-approval letter).
• Valid Passport (not less than 6 months validity).
• Return/Onward Ticket.

Purpose: For Nigerians by birth traveling on a foreign passport to re-enter Nigeria.
Eligibility: Nigerians by birth in accordance with Section 25 and 31 of Constitution of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended holding other National Passports.

• Valid Foreign Passport (not less than 6 months validity).
• Proof of Nigerian Parentage (birth certificate with Nigerian parents, old Nigerian passport, etc.).
